Help Create a World Without Finger Sticks
Non-Invasive Glucose Monitoring Device Study
Our primary objective is to demonstrate the ability of Know Labs' non-invasive Bio-RFID technology to accurately measure blood glucose levels and changes in blood glucose levels over a 2 to 5-hour time period.
Why Participate?
Hundreds of millions worldwide use finger sticks or minimally invasive CGMs every day. They are painful, expensive, and wasteful.
Bio-RFID can address all of these pain points and you can be part of this journey.

Participants will be compensated with up to $200 in a gift card per test completed.
Is Bio-RFID Safe?
The Bio-RFID technology is as safe as everyday radio, TV and WiFi signals.

KnowU operates under 5mw and only 1 inch of range is required. Other radio frequency-based devices, such as cellphones, operate between 1,000mw and 2,000mw and cover a long rage, typically in excess of 3 miles. By applying these parameters, we can estimate you will have 0.72w of exposure if you used KnowU non-stop for an entire day, which will never be the case. In comparison to cellphones, this means a full day using KnowU is the equivalent radio frequency exposure of a 5 seconds phone call.

Know Labs team will review the information submitted and reach out in case they need additional information to approve your participation. Main eligibility criteria are: 18 to 65 years of age and based in Seattle-WA.
All tests will be performed during working hours, Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm PST, at our laboratory in Capitol Hill. Transportation to and from the lab will not be provided and you should plan to stay in the lab for a period of time between 2 and 5 hours.
Once you arrive at our laboratory, we will first go through some paperwork. Once the paperwork is completed, we will do a Covid-19 rapid test to make sure everyone is safe. This will be followed by a traditional glucose test to confirm your glucose levels. If they are too high or too low, we won't proceed with the test that day and we will reschedule it. We recommend at least a couple of hours of fasting before arrival.
Using the Bio-RFID sensor prototype is easy and painless, but you will need to use a finger stick as well so we can compare the glucose readings. You may also use your CGM (FreeStyle and Dexcom), in case you already have one.

You will sit down and place your arm on the Bio-RFID sensor prototype for every reading, which will occur every 5 minutes. When the reading is complete you will perform a comparison reading with the finger stick or CGM. You can move around, read a book, do whatever you want in between the readings. The first 30 minutes will be used to establish a baseline for your glucose level. Once established, you will ingest a glucose drink so your level changes and we can track that with the Bio-RFID sensor prototype. Once your glucose level comes back to the baseline, the test stops. This typically happens in 2 to 4 hours. You will go home knowing you are helping us to create a world without finger sticks and with a $200 gift card.
Follow-up
Our team will reach out to make sure all is ok and, if needed, they will invite you to stop by the lab again and participate in another round of tests. If you come, you will receive another $200 gift card.
